stanford's "brain day" for palo alto 7th graders
our session was cut a bit short by a fire drill--which my camera sadly chose to capture in less-than-stellar detail 2/11/05

Caitlin visited on her spring break; Saul joined us for a nice hike in monte bello open space preserve
  some of these flowers on the side of the trail looked interesting these were very small and so vibrantly orange
   
    we hiked up to the summit of black mountain, where we had great views on all sides here's Caitlin, looking chipper and windblown here's Saul, looking chill and hardcore here's Caitlin and me, looking much taller than when we met in kindergarden (well, one of us anyway)

Brittany took us hiking in purisima open space preserve

 
  it was great weather for a hike. the neuroscientists make their way across the hillside, social but still wary of danger. this was neat.  
   
  i like trees. Saul wanted photo evidence of the steepness of some of our climbs; can you spot the mountain bikers? more trees from left:  Leslie, Brittany, Matt, Alison, Saul, Namiko, Sridhar
